ron-GWir hatten heute einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Khaolak Elephant Sanctuary ( bitte nicht mit anderen Camps verwechseln!). Die Elefantenführer gingen sehr lieb mit ihren Tieren um. Sai gab uns in ihrer lustigen Art viele Informationen über die Elefanten. Der Waldspaziergang mit zwei Elefanten war ein tolles und hautnahes Erlebnis. Die Tiere wirkten auf uns gut gepflegt, haben ein großzügiges Auslaufgelände und werden zu nichts gezwungen. Es sind ehemalige Zirkus- und Arbeitselefanten. Wir denken, es geht ihnen dort gut 👍JannahIts been sooo amazing! But this, this sanctuary stands true to it's name while giving us the most memorable day in Phuket. Thanks to the whole team at Khaolak Elephant Sanctuary. Special mention goes to Ve Vi and Tony. They were simply amazing. Gave us a lot of interesting information about the elephants in general, the rescues there and the sanctuary itself, while being so friendly and humorous. We started off with making rice balls for the elephants and feeding them with bananas. We then took a nice walk in the forest with the elephants closely following us. The waterfall visit and cooking class were next. We made our own Pad Thai lunch which was really tasty thanks to our masterchef. Post lunch was the time for a mud bath with the gentle giants. The final and another superb activity which I didn't find anywhere else was that they rode us to a nearby local farm and taught us how to cut the banana trees. We then carried our stock back to the sanctuary and fed the elephants. Felt like a true bushman. The experience felt so wholesome. The really sweet staff kept us hydrating between our activities. Overall, a 5 star experience and a highly recommended place for a unique and fun activity for everyone looking for a truly ethical sanctuary.Laura ShawReally pleased with our experienced, we wanted to visit an ethical rescue and we were not disappointed.
